Official Presenter of the 2 Training Days for Practicing Dairy Veterinarians in Quebec in Preparation for the Launch of PISAQ Campaign #11

FASA has agreed to be the official presenter of these two in-person training days, supported by a $10,000 funding contribution. The title of this training is “Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases and Judicious Use of Antibiotics in Dairy Cattle Operations.”

These training sessions will take place on November 21, 2023 (at the Lévis Convention Center) and December 6, 2023 (at the Saint-Hyacinthe Convention Center) to allow a large number of veterinarians to attend.

The training will cover, among other things, the context and details of the PISAQ Campaign #11, the Vet-Expert antibiotic benchmarking tool, key elements for setting up treatment protocols for respiratory, digestive, and mammary gland issues, including developed models that can be adapted in the Vigil-Vet tool.

This FASA funding aligns directly with its mission and development focus on promoting knowledge transfer to veterinarians regarding the judicious use of antimicrobials.
