FASA Governance

To ensure that the FASA mission can be carried out in an agile and efficient manner, it was necessary to establish an independent organization. This organization took the form of a non-profit organization recognized as a registered charity within the meaning of the Income Tax Act (Canada), and it is governed by a Board of Directors of 7 members.

FASA has also established a permanent Advisory Committee to guide it in its decisions. This committee is a consultative forum of the FASA Board of Directors whose role is to inform the Board in identifying issues in the field and in prioritizing the projects that FASA is considering. It is composed of strategic partners representing several external organizations involved in animal health, namely the MAPAQ, the AMVPQ, the AMVQ, the AVIA, the ICSA/CAHI and the FMV. The Advisory Committee thus supports the Board of Directors in carrying out its mission. It is assisted in its mandate by the Executive Director of the FASA Foundation, who ensures the progress of the committee’s work.
